This year’s JCA 50m TT had the largest field for a long time with a turnout of 27 riders. Conditions were tough, with Westerly winds and the odd bit of drizzle making the course challenging. With 88 turns it is not a course for the faint hearted!
Chris Spence had the fastest overall time and was the only one to complete the course in just under 2 hours, retaining his title from last year and beating his time. For the hotly contested Vets title Mark Nish put in a remarkable performance ahead of Andy Munns who took second place from Kevin Pilley. There were a spate of Vets not far behind with the Kevin and Mike sharing the same time, shortly behind Mike Harris. Mary Crow won the ladies title beating her 2004 time by 13 minutes and Nicky Bardin was second lady.
