A tough day at the track in souring temperatures, well done to all. Steven Hayley the star of the day with his 6th place and Gold medal in the Junior ranks. Kenny Patrick took Gold with a stunning sprint winning by a few bike lengths from Mike Harris, Dick Turpin and the chasing pack of Mick Higginson et al.
In the seniors, a diminished field of only 7 riders saw Ali Cann flghting it out with Vince Perron and taking the gold medal, well done Ali and well done Vince with Silver. Lorenzo finished things off with a well deserved bronze medal, well done Lorenzo. And wel done to Sarah Henderson, fighting tooth and nail to hang on all the way to the finish to take the women’s Gold from Susan Williams, with Gemma Derrick and Nikki Bardin (Bronze) completing the women’s round up.
Bad luck for Tony Pushman (suspected double-collar bone fracture) - we wish you a speedy recovery Tony. Mike Keighrey also crashed in the same incident on the shicane before the finish straight, get well soon both of you!
