Another fine performance from the CandiTV Marshalls Pasta squad in the shape of Malcolm Elliott this time. A breakaway emerged from the peleton after 4 laps containing Elliott, Sport Beans’ Jon Locke & Grant Bayton and Magnus Maximus-Coffee.com’s Freddy Johansson.
The group worked well together and despite efforts from Bayton and Locke to break Elliott down with attacks on Jubilee Hill, it was Elliott who masterminded a fine win on the finish line with a typically well executed and timed sprint on the line.
CCC’s Chris Spence put in a fine performance to take 3rd in the bunch sprint to bring home the remainder of the pack. Well done also to Anthony Chanlen and Nick Le Cocq for hanging in there till the 3rd and 6th climb respectfully, a brave performance from both.
