Stephen Haley - British National XC MTB Series - Round 2 - Plymouth

After Stephen Haley's previous result in his first national XC race at Sherwood Pines Stephen was placed 10th on the start line of 40 riders. After completing the practice run's Stephen acknowledged the first lap was going to be decisive in achieving an advantageous position on the the technically challenging course. After a good start he was apart of a lead group of 5-6 riders after the first lap, however on descending the final 1km out of the 5km lap  he suffered a puncture to his rear wheel. After repairing his puncture Haley got back on his bike 2 minutes 30 behind the last rider to cross the line and completed some very constant lap times to finish twenty sixth out of  the forty riders.
